Since July 2006, Müller-BBM has been active in a new field of service. In addition to fire protection planning, a service already provided by our building acoustics group, our new services in the field of safety technology include the following:

With our many years of experience, we can support you in the field of safety technology.

Especially with regard to the regulation for industrial safety (Betriebssicherheitsverordnung), we support our clients in the evaluation of possible risks concerning workplace safety and applied tools.

Müller-BBM elaborates expert opinions on explosion protection for authorization procedures as well as documents on explosion protection according to the requirements of the regulation for industrial safety (BetrSichV) § 6. Apart from that, in agreement with the responsible authorities and the operator start-up tests according to the regulation for industrial safety (BetrSichV) § 14 (3) and Appendix 4 A No. 3.8 can be carried out for equipment operated in explosion-risk areas.

Concerning equipment for the handling of water-hazardous substances, Müller-BBM elaborates expert opinions according to the water balance regulation (Wasserhaushaltsgesetz) (WHG) § 19 i. We can offer you the following services:

• Start-up tests
• Repeat tests
• Close-down tests
• Consultation regarding the authorization of equipment
• Elaboration of VAwS concepts (e.g. within the scope of reconstructions)

Within the scope of tests regarding the application of the accident regulation (Störfallverordnung) it will at first be determined, whether and which requirements of the 12th regulation of the Federal Immission Protection Law (Bundes-Immissionsschutzgesetz (12. BImSchV, StörfallV) must be fulfilled by the operator. If required, Müller-BBM offers the following services:
